Dubai is accelerating its digital business transformation with a new Investor Register, Dubai Unified Licence (DUL), and AI-powered services designed to simplify company formation and make the investor journey faster and more connected.
Led by the Dubai Business Registration and Licensing Corporation (DBLC), the initiatives bring licensing, approvals, government services, and private-sector services into a more integrated digital ecosystem through the Invest in Dubai platform.
Business activity continues to grow strongly. In the first half of 2026, 58,337 new licences were issued and 173,652 licences renewed across Dubai’s mainland and free zones, taking total issuance and renewal transactions above 230,000.
A major development is the Dubai Unified Licence, which gives businesses a single commercial identity across mainland and free zones. Its integration with banks has helped reduce the time required to open a corporate bank account from approximately 90 days to around three days.
Meanwhile, the upcoming Dubai Investor Register aims to create a unified digital record for individual and corporate investors, reducing the need to repeatedly submit the same information when expanding businesses, opening branches, acquiring stakes, or investing across different sectors.
Dubai is also expanding the use of AI within Invest in Dubai to provide more personalised guidance and recommend relevant services throughout an investor’s business journey.
These developments support the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and reinforce Dubai’s efforts to create a faster, simpler, and more investor-friendly business environment.
